| | Studying in my room is just not the same as studying at Bobst. But I need to hole up in there to get anything done at all. I just need to force myself to be in a room that does not have a computer!
Pluses over Bobst: more sunshine, stereo, no distracting people around
Minuses: I have to fight the urge to pass out on my bed when studying gets too boring.
 
Fortunately it doesn't get too lonely because I have pics of beautiful people around to keep me company.

And of course, I have this monster to keep me occupied. Notice that this is Volume III. I went through Online Training, the Basic Training Manual, Volume I, Volume II, and the accompanying workbook. Did I mention that I have yet to register for an exam date? I sent in an application to the USPTO and I'm still waiting from them to approve me. It's possible that I might not even take it this summer...
 
My current music fix courtesy of Emma S. Clark Memorial, the local library. We got Vampire Weekend, A Fine Frenzy, The Bird and the Bee, and the 3:10 to Yuma soundtrack. The pencils are so that I can bang them against my patbar study guides when I listen to Vampire Weekend and pretend I'm a rockstar drummer. ("WALLLCOTTT. DON'T YOU KNOW THAT IT'S INSANE? DON'T YOU WANT TO GET OUT OF CAPE COD? OUT OF CAPE COD TONIGHT?"). And yes, the pencils do have my name on them. I think they were a gift from my first grade teacher lol.
Now over here, I wanted to show you the cool things I have hanging on my mirror. I guess this also shows you that I mutate into a cyclops when I'm alone in my room. Omg, typing the word "cyclops" made me think of the Classical Mythology class I took with Olivia and Catherine Kelso last semester. "Norman! My name is Norman!!"*
 
On the left is my preschool graduation with May! Yes! I have known May since preschool. Actually, I have known May since before preschool. She just can't get rid of me. . On the right is British Accent Guy (the caption says "How speaking the Queen's English can colonize your girl." I think it's an ad for Axe Dry. I picked it up in a cute cafe on Saint Marks with Alexa during Freshman year).
Lastly, we've got this awesome drawing by Grace. When I was in 8th-9th grade, I made up this anime (in my head) called "Akira." Yea, this was back when I was really into anime and manga. Anyway, the only one I told to about it was Grace so for Christmas in 9th grade... she drew the character for me! It's so precious, and one of the few things hanging on the walls in my room! Hahaha. This is never going to come down.

*Our professor told us this story about how he was auditioning people for a play of Odysseus. And there's a line where Odysseus is telling Polyphemus (a Cyclops), "No Man! My name is No Man!" One of the guys auditioning actually said, "Norman! My name is Norman!" Needless to say, I don't think he got the part.
